La Soirée Blanche

I would say that last weekend was a pretty unusually enjoyable one for me. The PARCO next NEXT AW12 preview was really inspiring and fresh and i was completely snared by the collections produced by a couple of designers. But before i spark anymore excitement for tonight, i must apologise for my careless mistake for not bringing my camera out that day. Besides, with a non-techie nokia N97, i felt absolutely helpless that day. I would have a lot to show and tell right now if i weren't that careless but i promise i'll talk about my favorites really soon. I had a back up plan, so please don't be too disappointed and be patient with the ninja turtle.

Back to the purpose of today's post, La  Soirée Blanche, a fashion show collaboration with SPF(SpunkPunkFunk) and RDI(Raffles Design Institude) for the local children's charity. It was an entertaining night with VJs like Roger Poon and Abigail Chay, models that rocked the show with dramatic make-up and vociferous apparels, just the SPF attitude.

Although, i was there to help to run the event and document the show, surely less comfortable than being an audience, i had a pretty good time interacting and getting hyped up with the models. It was quite an exposure for myself because it was officially my first time leading a group of people(students and models), with two other friends, to work together for a show.

Anyway, below are a couple of pictures took with my 'little flash' camera in a dark place meant for dancers and not small scale photographers like me. Thank goodness for Andrew's external flash which was more suitable for the lack of lighting in ZIRCA but i sort of wasted the function of the external flash because i wasn't a bit familiar with such bulky device. Besides, i never knew holding a camera with an external flash in my hands would cause my weak arms to ache so much.

Without further ado, go on and scroll wheel down the post. I wish you lovely people a blessed weekend!

I am Queen & King.

Last saturday was the Clozette Inter-Campus Pageant (SMU + NTU + NUS) photo shoot at Wisma Atria. The pageants were modeling in SpunkPunkFunk, Forever New and MDS's apparels and i had plenty of fun, along with Regina, Issac and Jen, helping out a bunch of enthusiastic good looking people at their photo shoot.

Below are a couple of things at the event that entertained me and almost sparked the little shopaholic monster in me. Thank goodness majority of them were men t-shirts or Jen's personal accessories (which were highly not applicable/available to me.) The only thing that i had real trouble within was the white sandals from forever new, above, which i have convinced myself that the sight of it should be satisfying enough until i get a closet for my shoes. (The rise of my shoe population have caused the rest of the family's shoes unhappiness due to congestion. I am guilty conscious.)

Anyway, i am so glad that the long weekend is about to approach and that i will be spending everyday of it with my family at Kuala Lumpur. As for you, i hope that you'll have a productive happy public hoilday. Be it with the family, socializing, catching up with friends, have a happy national day holiday tomorrow!

Lastly, all the best to every single participants and i wish all college students a pleasant time back in school! Cheers!

SpunkPunkFunk if you dare!

The long awaited post is finally on Shien! I can't feel anymore excited to share all the pictures that Jen, Issac and I took on Saturday when i drop by the shop situated at The Central, #01-43, 6 EuTong Seng Street, Singapore 059817. SpunkPunkFunk is an amazingly quirky label that believes that people should dress to express, not to impress. Jen Su, the all-rounder local designer does styling, hair & makeup, makeover, fashion consultation, runway choreography, event coordination and last but not least, designing. Her passion. Isn't she Singapore's pride.

The funkalicious designer believes strongly that fashion has no disparity and she encourages people to try & express themselves because Fashion is no discrimination. Personality has more credibility than beauty. C'mon, somebody says amen to that, please.

Okay, enough of words, now get yourself ready to dive into a pool of craziness, quirkiness and happiness! Enjoy your journey into the WillyWonka's chocolate factory!*(Random)*Just enjoy k.
My favourite outfit!(Sports wear may be it,for me,soon.Who knows!)
Ha!(Jen's favourite exclamation)
You think that they only have clothings in the shop? No way. There are funky and unique glasses&sunglasses in the shop, catering prescriptions as well! Told you Jen was an all-rounder designer. Oh and the biggest secret is that these glasses are FREAKING cheaper than the one that you're wearing on your face now!(Well, at least that applies to me) So please, my lovely readers, I have found the best optic shop for you in town. I dare not lie.
Even more obvious than fake eyelashes, bring it on!
Customer of SpunkPunkFunk that bought two glasses because he just couldn't decide which one to get.
Red&Round, my favourite sunglasses!

Jen and Issac
Yesyes. There are the branded ones like Alexandra Wa, Karen Walker, Oliver Goldsmith, Dries Van Noten  and of course those that are brandless. However, do not be paranoid about the quality of the brandless ones because a lot of them are made in Japan.

Prices of clothings/jackets/bottom are ranged from $150-$500
              sunglasses/glasses are ranged from $150-$300
with prescription will be extra $30-$50 depending on your degree.
